New explosive claims suggest that former President Barack Obama may have allegedly used USAID funds under the pretense of foreign aid while secretly directing those funds toward political influence operations. A viral interview with Mike Benz on Joe Rogan’s podcast is now bringing these allegations into the spotlight.
Obama’s Alleged Money Laundering Scheme Exposed?
According to Benz, USAID—an organization meant to provide humanitarian assistance—was allegedly utilized to funnel taxpayer dollars into offshore accounts, funding activist groups and orchestrating protests to overthrow governments.
“A scandal during the Obama USAID era. We were running a number of rogue USAID operations in Cuba at the time. — I’m simply showing the American people where your tax dollars are going and how these things are structured in order to systematically fool you, fool Congress, and fool the White House,” Benz revealed.
The allegations point to a system where funds were earmarked for foreign aid but were instead sent to Cayman Islands bank accounts, then allegedly used to fund “Rent-a-Riots”—organized street protests to push specific political agendas.

Social Media Manipulation and Political Interference
Benz also detailed how USAID allegedly funded a Cuban social media platform, modeled after Twitter, to push political narratives.
“They created an exact clone of Twitter, called ‘ZunZuneo,’ which was secretly controlled by U.S. interests. Initially, it posted neutral content—sports, music, and news—to attract users. But once enough people were engaged, the platform began inserting political messages and propaganda, encouraging protests and dissent,” he explained.
The Pattern: Political Influence Disguised as Aid?
Benz claims that these tactics weren’t isolated to Cuba. Instead, they followed a global pattern, with USAID funding digital tools and activists in various countries to influence politics under the guise of “pro-democracy movements”.
