According to the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project, every document they analyzed from Biden’s presidency carried an identical autopen-generated signature—except for the letter announcing his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race. “WHOEVER CONTROLLED THE AUTOPEN CONTROLLED THE PRESIDENCY,” the Oversight Project stated in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. The group shared side-by-side comparisons of multiple official documents, all featuring the exact same signature—a strong indication that a mechanical device, rather than Biden himself, authorized major government actions.
The Executive Order Biden ‘Didn’t Sign’
The controversy deepened after House Speaker Mike Johnson recounted a troubling exchange with Biden regarding a pause on liquefied natural gas exports. In an interview with journalist Bari Weiss, Johnson revealed that Biden denied signing the order altogether.
“I didn’t do that,” Biden reportedly told Johnson during their discussion in January.
Johnson was stunned. “Sir, you paused it. I know because I’ve spoken with the people affected by it. This is causing massive damage to our economy and national security,” he told the president.
The Speaker walked away from the meeting deeply disturbed. “Who is running the country?” Johnson asked, reflecting on Biden’s apparent lack of awareness about a major policy decision signed in his name.
