‘I REFUSE TO PERPETUATE THE LIE’: MARY MILLER CALLS ‘SARAH’ MCBRIDE ‘THE GENTLEMAN FROM DELAWARE’

Illinois Rep. Mary Miller Stands Firm Against Gender Ideology in Congress

Gender ideology faced another major challenge this week as U.S. Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) took a bold stance on the House floor, refusing to recognize Rep. Tim ‘Sarah’ McBride as a woman.

Miller declared on social media that she would not “perpetuate the lie” of gender identity interpretations. Instead, she addressed Delaware Rep. McBride using biological reality in her House statement.

“The chair recognizes the gentleman from Delaware, Mr. McBride, for five minutes,” Miller firmly stated in a now-viral clip.

Who Is Tim ‘Sarah’ McBride?

McBride made history as the first openly transgender member of Congress. Previously known as Tim McBride, he served as president of American University’s student body, where he came out as trans in 2012.

His political journey includes becoming the first openly trans woman to intern at the White House under the Obama administration and being the first trans person to speak at a major political convention when addressing the Democratic National Convention in 2016.

In 2020, McBride won election to Delaware’s 1st Senate District, becoming America’s first openly transgender state senator.

Controversy Over Gender Identity in Congress

McBride’s presence in Congress has sparked fresh debates, particularly over gender identity and bathroom policies.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) weighed in on the discussion, making her stance crystal clear:

“Biological men do not belong in private women’s spaces. Period. Full stop. End of story.”

This heated debate highlights the growing divide in political and cultural views on gender identity, biological reality, and legislative recognition.

Miller’s Unwavering Stance

Miller’s comments received both praise and backlash, with conservatives applauding her for standing up to gender ideology, while progressives labeled her remarks as controversial.

The political divide on gender identity continues to widen as lawmakers grapple with navigating pronouns, official recognition, and biological reality in legislative settings.
