New allegations have surfaced claiming that GPS tracking data reveals Democratic rallies, including those hosted by Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), were not as organic as advertised. The data suggests that many attendees were paid activists or individuals frequently appearing at multiple political events, sparking accusations of astroturfing—the practice of manufacturing the illusion of widespread grassroots support.
Massive Rally in Denver? The Numbers Tell a Different Story
The latest claims come from data analyst Mario Nawfal, who states that GPS tracking of a recent Denver rally organized by Sanders and AOC uncovered shocking discrepancies in the reported attendance. While official numbers suggested 34,000 people were present, analysis indicates that only 20,000 devices were actually detected at the event.
Even more concerning? A staggering 84% of those tracked had attended at least nine other Democratic or left-wing protests, including Antifa and Black Lives Matter (BLM) demonstrations, as well as pro-Hamas and pro-Palestinian rallies.
Over 30% had been present at 20 or more political events, raising questions about whether the rally was a genuine grassroots movement or a staged political operation.

Who’s Funding These So-Called Grassroots Movements?
According to Nawfal, the attendees were not simply politically engaged citizens but rather individuals connected to activist networks such as:
- Disruption Project
- Indivisible
- Democratic Socialists of America
- Rise & Resist
- Troublemakers
These groups, he claims, receive financial backing from ActBlue and, in some cases, USAID, the U.S. Agency for International Development.
Data Analysts Reveal a Pattern of Manipulation
Data analyst Tony Seruga also weighed in, providing further details on the alleged manipulation of event attendance. According to Seruga, the tracking involved demographic and psychographic profiling, using databases such as:
- Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)
- Pew Research Center
- Market research firms like YouGov and Experian
- Social media analytics from Facebook, LinkedIn, and ESRI’s Tapestry Segmentation
Seruga claims that this data exposes clear patterns of staged political activism, where the same core group of activists appears repeatedly at political demonstrations under the guise of independent grassroots protesters.

Is This Just the Tip of the Iceberg?
Seruga’s findings indicate that 90% of the frequently appearing activists were linked to at least one of the above groups. The pattern of coordinated activism raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of political movements and whether taxpayer dollars are being used to manufacture political influence.
As the debate intensifies, critics are demanding greater transparency on political funding, questioning whether these demonstrations reflect genuine public support or a well-oiled political strategy.
