According to Fox News, President Trump confirmed:
“We agreed to work together, very closely, including visiting each other’s Nations. We have also agreed to have our respective teams start negotiations immediately, and we will begin by calling President Zelenskyy of Ukraine to inform him of the conversation, something which I will be doing right now.”
Trump added that he feels “strongly that these negotiations will be successful.”
Putin Invites Trump to Moscow for High-Level Talks
In a surprising turn of events, Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited President Trump to Moscow to arrange a direct, face-to-face peace negotiation meeting.
According to Reuters, the Kremlin confirmed that Trump and Putin discussed not only the war in Ukraine but also Middle Eastern relations, a U.S.-Russia prisoner exchange, and future diplomatic cooperation.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated:
“The Russian president invited the U.S. president to visit Moscow and expressed his readiness to receive American officials in Russia in those areas of mutual interest, including, of course, the topic of the Ukrainian settlement.”
Peskov also confirmed that Trump and Putin agreed to continue personal contacts, including arranging a face-to-face meeting.
